Denver Area Agency on Aging falls under the The Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG). The Denver Regional Council of Governments is a planning organization where local governments collaborate to establish guidelines, set policy and allocate funding in the areas of transportation, growth and development, aging and disability resources. A local Area Agency on Aging can connect you to local resources from adult day programs, Alzheimer’s resources, caregiving, elder abuse, food resources, health insurance, home repair, legal assistance, transportation & more.
The Denver region, as defined by the Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG), includes Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Clear Creek, Douglas, Gilpin and Jefferson counties, the City and County of Denver, the City and County of Broomfield and southwest Weld County.

- Housing Placement – Housing placement organizations work with older adults and their family members to determine what type of care is needed, senior housing or in-home care. If senior housing is desired, then they recommend available locations. This service is most commonly provided at no cost to the older adult and family, as the senior housing locations have agreements with the housing locations they represent.

United Way of America (UWA) and the Alliance for Information and Referral Systems (AIRS) strongly support Federal funding so that every American has access to this essential service.

This website allows you to search for and view the results of any inspection conducted within the previous 5 years for any healthcare provider currently licensed by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, state-certified by the Colorado Health Care Policy and Finance or federally certified by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Inspection results will include any citations identified during those inspections, the regulation text outlining the requirements or practice(s) to be met, as well as the plan of correction submitted by the provider indicating how the citation was remedied.
