In doing so, we also address and help alleviate the stresses encountered by the growing number of people who are caring for elderly family members who require constant supervision and assistance with routine, day-to-day activities.

Our agency provides compassion, encouragement and reassurance along with practical home care solutions. We are committed to helping each of our clients achieve their optimum level of wellness and best possible quality-of-life. This is accomplished by working in close coordination with our clients, their personal physicians and family members in establishing comprehensive, individualized care plans for each client.
Home Health Services from VNA …
The Visiting Nurse Association of Northern New Jersey (VNA) through our Eldercare Program provides core services ranging from:
- Skilled visiting nurses
- Rehabilitation therapies
- Personal care provided by certified home health aides
- Social services/counseling
- Pre-hospital admission and discharge planning
- Palliative and hospice care

Services: Philips Lifeline, Home Telehealth, Medication Management Devices
From Philips Lifeline to Home Telehealth Systems and in-home ‘electronic’ medication management, Visiting Nurse Association of Northern New Jersey (VNA) is a resource and provider for simple solutions to assist seniors who are home alone to be safer and less vulnerable to a fall or medical emergency. With the simple press on a button on a compact personal alert device, emergency help can be summoned quickly 24 hours a day, seven days a week. - Friendship House
Services: Offering Adult Day Services and Respite for Family Caregivers

Friendship House is an adult day center operated by the Visiting Nurse Association of Northern New Jersey (VNA) located in Boonton, New Jersey. This center is a safe haven where individuals with physical and cognitive challenges can find acceptance, companionship and practical assistance while their primary caregivers are afforded the peace-of-mind required to take a respite. The goal of Friendship House is to bring some joy into the lives of our clients and then return them to the care of loved ones who are refreshed by the "off duty" time we have provided. - FREE In-home Caregiver Education & Support
VNA provides FREE in-home education and support to unpaid caregivers so they may improve their ability and effectiveness as caregivers. There are no income or asset eligibility requirements for this program which is made possible through a grant received by the Morris County Department of Human Services, Office on Aging, NJ Caregiver Initiative. - Nutritional Counseling
The VNA home care team includes registered dietitians. Upon the recommendation of a visiting nurse or a client's doctor, in-home consultations are available to assist in variety of ways. - House Call Groceries for Seniors
With this program select VNA volunteers are asked to shop weekly or biweekly for homebound elderly clients. By performing this simple but essential task, VNA can assist an elderly neighbor for whom shopping has become a difficult chore.
