Growing Through Grief Support Group in South Hills
Where: Southminster House, 801 Washington Road, Mount Lebanon, PA (map)
Growing Through Grief is a free six-week educational support group beginning March 22. The group will meet for six consecutive Wednesdays from 10AM to noon concluding April 26. Pre-registration is required. Facilitated by a Family Hospice bereavement counselor and trained volunteer, this free group focuses on managing and coping with grief after a death with the goal of rebuilding hope after loss. Find a The Death Cafe Event

With a Death Cafe, the idea is to get people from all backgrounds together over tea, coffee and delicious cake, to simply talk about death, a normal aspect of life that is generally feared by our culture. The hope of the Death Cafe movement is to simply normalize this phase of life by allowing groups of people to talk about death. A Death Cafe is not a support group or a means of selling services, but is instead a simple social gathering. There have been Death Cafes all over Colorado and the US. Learn More
