The Seniors’ Resource Center satellite site in Southwest Plaza Mall on Bowles and Wadsworth (inside the northwest entrance) is offering a free medication review with a Walmart pharmacist the first Friday of each month from 10:30-2:30pm as well as free blood pressure checks. There’s no appointment necessary. Why bring all your medications for review? Because you can:- Identify duplicate, outdated or poorly stored medications, Identify possible drug interactions or contradictions, Identify or eliminate medication errors, Answer any questions about over-the-counter supplements, Promote better patient/pharmacist communication and Help set up monthly pill boxes. For any questions, please contact the Seniors’ Resource Center at 303-979-6173. The Seniors’ Resource Center Southwest Plaza is open Mon. - Sat. 9:30am to 5:30pm. They provide referrals to senior services, internet access, visionary machine, computer training, educational classes, Medicare SHIP & Care Management Counseling by appointment.

Pathways to Wisdom Senior Resource Day

Seniors and their families attend this free event to learn about resources related to healthy aging, enjoy free food and prize drawings. Service providers, local business and organizations will be available to share information regarding their products and services. In 2012, 600+ seniors and their families attended this event.
